Local Canning Limited is the newest canning company in BC, beginning service to the craft beverage industry in May 2021, we are looking to expand our team.

Experience needed
- 1+Experience operating & maintaining mobile canning equipment
- Experience driving a 5-tonne truck and possess a clean driving abstract an asset
- Experience/Certification operating a forklift as asset
- Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment an asset
Qualifications required
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull heavy pallet jacks and canning equipment
- Willing to leave when the job is done, not when the shift is scheduled to end
- Able to stand for long periods of time (12-hour shifts are not unheard of)
- Understand how liquid temperature, carbonation, and other important factors affect canning procedures
- Able to travel throughout the province as necessary
Responsibilities and Duties
On the Line:
- Assist with setup, run, tear down, and operate the canning line and all peripheral devices as required (e.g. depalletizer, date coder, labeller, etc)
- Complete consistent can seam test correctly to ensure specifications of the product ordered
- Operate machinery to the highest level of quality control consistently
- Maintain site cleanliness and leave the site in better condition than when you arrived
- Record and report production data for constant improvements on methodology
At Home Base:
- Complete inventory checks and ensure all materials are packed and prepared for each day’s run.
- Drive company vehicle to and from the site in a safe and respectful manner
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment upon returning to the warehouse, ensuring the canning line is operating at the best level of performance possible.
- Work in the warehouse to prepare materials as needed, keep track of inventory, and document to ensure consistent inventory procedures
- Maintain a clean workplace, inside and out
